Guidelines and Policies
Confidentiality
What you share in therapy is held with care and respect. Your privacy is protected, and all sessions are confidential. In rare situations—such as if there’s a risk of serious harm to you or someone else—your therapist may need to share limited information to ensure safety. Therapists also receive clinical supervision to support their work; if your case is discussed, it is done without revealing your identity and only to enhance your care.
Informed Consent
You have the right to understand every aspect of your therapeutic process. This includes your therapist’s qualifications, the approaches being used, any possible benefits or limitations, and what other options might be available. You are encouraged to ask questions at any point.
Right to Decline or Discontinue
Your comfort and autonomy are central to the process. You can decline any intervention or approach that doesn’t feel right for you. Therapy can be paused or ended at any time. If you choose to step away, a gentle closure session or phone call can be arranged to support a thoughtful ending.
Clear and Respectful Communication
Open, transparent communication is valued in this space. You’ll receive clear information about fees, scheduling, and the goals you’re working toward. Contact outside of sessions is limited to official channels to maintain safety, boundaries, and clarity.
Consistency and Care
Therapy works best when there’s consistency. Your sessions are pre-booked, and your time slot is held for you weekly. If your needs or availability change, your therapist will do their best to accommodate within the limits of the schedule.
Financial Clarity and Payment
You deserve clarity and ease when it comes to the financial aspect of your care.
To hold your space with care and intention, payment for each session is requested at least 24 hours in advance. If payment hasn’t been received within that window, your slot may be offered to another client in need of support.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day cancellations or reschedules are charged at the full session rate, as that time has been reserved for you.
Boundaries and Mutual Respect
Therapy is a professional space grounded in mutual respect. Contact outside sessions is limited to organizational communication channels. Your therapist will not engage in personal or social interactions beyond this space unless there is a clear, mutual agreement and purpose.
Guidelines to Support the Work
To help you get the most out of therapy, we ask that you follow key practices—like honoring session times, pre-booking sessions, and using the provided communication methods. These guidelines are in place to create structure, safety, and clarity for your process.
